Two brothers have been arrested in connection with the murder of a teenager in Maheshadigh village. The body of Rishabh Kumar, the minor son of Gopal Rai, was found hanging from a tree in a field on the morning of December 30. The police launched an investigation based on the father’s statement, registering a case of murder against unknown criminals. CCTV footage helped identify the culprits, leading to the arrest of Badal Kumar and Rahul Kumar, who were involved in the incident. The police are also searching for another suspect involved in the crime.
During questioning, the arrested brothers confessed to the murder, stating that Rishabh Kumar had killed their brother Shivam Kumar on April 1, 2023. Seeking revenge for their brother’s death, the two brothers conspired and killed Rishabh Kumar together. The arrested brothers are residents of Vijaynagar Mohalla in Banka. The police have also recovered the motorcycle used in the incident. The brothers claimed that Rishabh Kumar had murdered their brother with the help of his friends, which led them to take the decision to kill him and hang his body from a tree.
The police have sent the victim’s body for postmortem and are continuing their investigation. They are also searching for the other suspect involved in the crime. The case has shocked the local community and raised concerns about the increasing incidents of violence among youth.
