Two children have gone missing from a village in the Sultanpur Police Station area of Bhagalpur district. When they did not return home by night, their relatives started to worry. Two days later, the relatives received a phone call demanding a ransom of five lakh rupees, which increased everyone’s worry. The police intensified their investigation into the kidnapping case. During this time, the tension of the kidnappers increased and they released the two children. Both children reached their relatives safely. They revealed that they were deceived and kidnapped, and then kept captive. After demanding a ransom of five lakh rupees, the kidnappers released them. The police traced the call and the kidnapped teenager’s aunt informed the Sultanpur Police Station about the incident. The aunt stated that on December 21, my nephew Shailendra Kumar went to Mirhutti village with his neighbor Roshan Kumar, the son of Fudo Mandal. They left without informing anyone on December 22. When they did not return in the evening, the family became very worried. They conducted a search, but could not find any information. On December 23, a call was received on Shailendra’s aunt’s phone, demanding a ransom of five lakh rupees in exchange for the release of the children. The police intensified their investigation and released the children after the ransom demand.


In Patna, thieves shot a police officer and fired at the police when they arrived after receiving a report of theft. Three culprits were arrested.


Shailendra, a minor, stated that he and Roshan were on their way home when they met a young man named Ashok in Bariyarpur. Ashok promised to find them work at a vegetable stall in Nathnagar and took them there. He did not provide them with any food and kept them hungry for three days. On Sunday evening, he planned to take us somewhere with him. At Sultanpur Station, he asked us to drink some water and left. In the meantime, we managed to escape and returned to Mirhutti. Shailendra’s aunt reported the incident to the police.


SP Dr. Gaurav Kumar arrived at Sultanpur Police Station and conducted a thorough investigation into the case. The Station House Officers of Sultanpur, Akbarnagar, Bath, and Shahkund also arrived at the Sultanpur Police Station. The police conducted extensive searches in Sultanpur, Bariyarpur, and Nathnagar. On Sunday evening, the kidnapper succumbed to the increasing pressure from the police and released the abducted children. The children returned to their relatives’ home. They were then taken into police custody for questioning. The investigation into the kidnapping and ransom case is ongoing. Once verified, the truth will be revealed.
