Tragic Incident in Maujuddawad
A tragic incident occurred in Maujuddawad, where two friends, Nazeera Khatoon and Roshni Khatoon, drowned in the river while going to relieve themselves on Tuesday evening. Nazeera’s body was recovered with the help of local divers, but Roshni is still missing.
Identification of the Deceased
Nazeera Khatoon, daughter of Mohammad Chand Ashraf from Ward 12 Mohalla, has been identified as one of the victims. However, Roshni Khatoon, daughter of Indu Ali from the same locality, is still unaccounted for.
Rescue Operations Delayed
Due to darkness, rescue and relief operations have been postponed until morning. The local administration has called in the SDRF team for the recovery of the bodies. The search operation will commence once daylight breaks.
Commotion Amongst Locals
Upon receiving news of the incident, there was commotion among the family members and villagers. The local administration was informed by the villagers, and officials arrived at the scene at night. However, due to the darkness, rescue operations were halted until morning when the SDRF team was called in for further assistance.
