The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the final results for the Civil Services Examination 2025 on the afternoon of March 6, 2026. In a moment of immense pride for the state of Bihar, Ujjwal Priyank from Bidupur in Vaishali district has secured the All India Rank (AIR) 10. This success came to him in his third attempt, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey. As soon as the news reached his native village in Bidupur, a wave of celebration took over, with family members and villagers congratulating each other on this achievement.

Ujjwal Priyank’s Journey and Background

Ujjwal Priyank, who holds the Roll Number 1523945, is not new to academic excellence. He is known in state records as Ujjwal Kumar Upkar and had previously topped the 69th BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) examination. At the time of clearing the UPSC CSE 2025, he was already serving as a Block Welfare Officer (BWO) in Vaishali. His transition from a state-level topper to a top-10 ranker in the national civil services exam has been widely appreciated by local educators.

His family expressed great joy upon hearing the results. His father, who is associated with teaching, mentioned that Ujjwal’s dedication has finally paid off. The villagers believe that his success will serve as a strong motivation for other students from rural backgrounds in Vaishali to aim for higher goals in civil services.

UPSC CSE 2025 Result Highlights

The commission has recommended a total of 958 candidates for appointment to various services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS). Based on his high rank, Ujjwal is expected to be allocated to the IAS. While Ujjwal stood out from Bihar, the national list saw Anuj Agnihotri securing the first rank.
