Bihar is witnessing grand celebrations of Krishna Janmashtami. However, in Nalanda, the program of a Bhojpuri singer turned chaotic as the crowd became unruly. To control the situation, the police resorted to lathicharge.
A cultural program was organized by BJP leader Mahendra Yadav in Islampur district on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. Former Minister Prem Kumar, BJP leader RC Singh, and several other dignitaries were present. Bhojpuri artist Gunjan Singh was also invited to the cultural program, attracting a large number of people.
The program started smoothly but suddenly the crowd became uncontrollable. The police present at the venue had to resort to lathicharge to control the situation. As a result, the crowd dispersed, and the entire pandal became empty. However, the organizers appealed for calm through the microphone to encourage people to stay and watch the program.
After the lathicharge, the program was briefly halted around 2:00 AM. Shortly after, it started raining, which led to the cancellation of the program. More than six people were injured due to the lathicharge. In this regard, Hilsa DSP Krishna Murari stated that he was not aware of the incident and force might have been used to control the crowd.

भोजपुरी गायक गुंजन सिंह के कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी कार्यक्रम में अनियंत्रित भीड़ पर पुलिस ने लाठीचार्ज किया। यह घटना नालंदा जिले में हुई। जन्माष्टमी के मौके पर नालंदा के इस्लामपुर में भाजपा नेता महेंद्र यादव ने सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया था। इस कार्यक्रम में पूर्व मंत्री प्रेम कुमार, भाजपा नेता आरसीपी सिंह समेत कई जनप्रतिनिधि पहुंचे थे। इस कार्यक्रम में भी भोजपुरी कलाकार गुंजन सिंह को बुलाया गया था। कार्यक्रम के दौरान भीड़ अनियंत्रित हो गई और पुलिसकर्मियों ने लाठीचार्ज करके भीड़ को नियंत्रित किया। इसके बाद भीड़ तीतर-बीतर हो गई और पंडाल खाली हो गया। कार्यक्रम में लाठीचार्ज के कारण करीब छह से अधिक लोग घायल हुए हैं। इस मामले में जिले के डीएसपी कृष्ण मुरारी ने बताया कि उन्हें इस घटना की जानकारी नहीं है।
