Expansion of Voting Process in Supaul Lok Sabha Seat
Voting for the third phase in the Supaul Lok Sabha seat in Bihar will take place on May 7th. Candidates can file their nominations from today, April 5th, until April 19th. Due to holidays on April 14th and 17th, nominations cannot be filed on these days. The nomination process will take place at the office of the Supaul District Magistrate. Surveillance of the nomination process will be done through CCTV cameras. Vehicles and supporters will be stopped 100 meters outside the Collectorate premises. Barricading is being done to enforce practical jamming. A pandal has been set up for journalists within the Collectorate premises. Only five people, including the candidate, will be allowed entry into the nomination room during the nomination process.

Preparations for Nomination in Full Swing
District Election Officer and District Magistrate Kaushal Kumar mentioned that all necessary preparations for nominations have been completed. Meanwhile, Deputy District Election Officer Aniruddh Yadav stated that by Thursday, two people have paid the NR fee for nominations. The NR fee for SC/ST candidates is set at Rs. 12,500, while for other candidates, it is Rs. 25,000. Security has been deployed at all major locations and intersections in the city, including the Collectorate, in preparation for nominations. To ensure security, 12 international and 14 inter-district check posts have been set up at various boundaries of the district.

Number of Voters in the Constituency
A total of 19,17,809 voters will choose their Member of Parliament from the Supaul parliamentary constituency, which includes voters from Supaul, Pipra, Nirmali, Chhata Pur, and Triveniganj in Madhepura district, as well as Singheshwar Vidhan Sabha in the district. The total number of voters in all assembly segments of Supaul district is 15,88,730, while the number of voters in Singheshwar Vidhan Sabha is 3,29,079. There are 8,21,307 male voters and 7,67,392 female voters in the district. Among them, there are 26,138 new voters, and 12,045 voters are over 85 years old. In Singheshwar Vidhan Sabha, there are 1,70,755 male voters and 1,58,315 female voters.

Establishment of Polling Centers
For the Lok Sabha elections, a total of 1,566 polling centers will be set up at 973 locations in Supaul district. This includes 324 booths in Nirmali, 306 in Pipra, 311 in Supaul, 324 in Chhata Pur, and 301 in Triveniganj. In Singheshwar Vidhan Sabha, a total of 328 polling centers will be set up. This means there will be a total of 1,894 polling centers in the Supaul Lok Sabha constituency. Additionally, there will be 73 polling centers set up inside the Kosi embankment in Supaul, where voters will have to cross two river streams to reach.

Nomination by JDU on April 16, RJD on April 18
The NDA has once again shown confidence in JDU MP Dileshwar Kamat for the Supaul Lok Sabha seat. He will file his nomination on April 16th and hold a public meeting in Gandhi Maidan, Supaul, at 11 am. The meeting will include BJP State President and Deputy CM Sushil Chaudhary, Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav, Nitish Mishra, Sheila Mandal, and Ratnesh Sada. On the other hand, this time, RJD MLA Chandrhas Chaupal will be contesting from Singheshwar, Madhepura, on behalf of INDIA. Chaupal will file his nomination on April 18th and hold a public meeting in Gandhi Maidan, Supaul, at 11 am. Former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and VIP Supreme Mukesh Sahni are expected to attend the meeting. Chaupal mentioned that several other prominent leaders may also participate in the meeting.
