Koderma By-elections
The Lok Sabha and Gandey Vidhan Sabha by-elections in Koderma are scheduled to take place tomorrow, on 20th May. Voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm across all 2252 booths in the Lok Sabha constituency. All preparations for the elections have been completed and tight security arrangements have been made.
Dispatch of Polling Personnel
For the polling, polling personnel are being dispatched to their booths and clusters. They are being sent off with necessary materials from dispatch centers located at Giridih College, Vivah Bhavan, and Jhanda Maidan. The DC inspected the dispatch center and sent the polling parties off with EVMs and other materials in different vehicles to their respective booths.
Voter Statistics
Koderma Lok Sabha constituency has a total of 2205318 voters, out of which 1065240 are female voters. The DC and SP held a joint press conference on Saturday to provide information on the election preparations. In the Gandey Vidhan Sabha, there are 316214 voters, Bagodar Vidhan Sabha has 381532 voters, Jamua Vidhan Sabha has 347832 voters, Koderma Vidhan Sabha has 406712 voters, and Barkatha Vidhan Sabha has 387847 voters.
Pre-Polling Activities
Before the voting, here are some images of the dispatch of polling personnel. The DC, Naman Priyesh Lakda, inspected the dispatch center, briefed the polling parties on their duties, and gave necessary instructions to the officials. The polling is set to take place smoothly with all necessary arrangements in place.
