Water Crisis in Mohra Panchayat Area
In Gaya district these days, a major water crisis has emerged in the Mohra Panchayat area. People are forced to bring water from the river to drink. Villagers are compelled to drink dirty water from the river by digging pits in the river. They are struggling to survive on the contaminated water from the river.
Struggle for Drinking Water
Villagers are wandering in search of water in the village. The borewell under the pipe scheme in Ward No. 4 Phool Bigaha of Northern Kajur Panchayat has not yet benefited the villagers. Due to the negligence of government officials, the village is facing a severe water crisis in the scorching heat.
Water Problem in Phool Bigaha Village
Phool Bigaha village is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and during the summer days, there is always a problem of drinking water. The water crisis had stopped due to the implementation of the pipe water scheme by the Panchayat, but since the responsibility of the scheme was given to the PHED department officials, people are forced to endure the water crisis due to their negligence.
Efforts for Resolution
Social worker Pappu Yadav revealed the situation when he visited the village and found that people were drinking water from the Mangura River by digging pits. Despite informing the JE of the PHED department, there was no response. The village representative Mukhiya Ravi Bharti has made efforts to contact department officials multiple times but has not received a satisfactory response.
गया में मोहड़ा प्रखंड क्षेत्र में पानी की समस्या उभरकर सामने आई है। ग्रामीण लोग गंदे नदी के पानी से गुजारा कर रहे हैं और पेयजल की समस्या से जूझ रहे हैं। नल जल योजना के तहत बोरिंग की गई थी, लेकिन उसका लाभ ग्रामीणों को अब तक नहीं मिला है। सरकारी कर्मियों की लापरवाही के कारण लोगों के साथ जानवरों के लिए भी पेयजल की समस्या हो गई है। समाजसेवी पप्पू यादव ने इस मुद्दे पर ध्यान आकर्षित किया है और अधिकारियों से संपर्क करने की कोशिश की है। नीमचक बथानी एसडीएम गोपाल कुमार ने भी इस समस्या का समाधान करने की बात कही है।
