Jharkhand Weather Update

In Jharkhand, including the capital Ranchi, there is a possibility of changing weather. Partial clouds may cover the state from the 14th to 18th of March. Light rain is expected during this period, leading to a decrease in temperatures across different parts of the state. After the weather changes, there could be a decrease of up to four to five degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature.

Weather Forecast Reason

The weather change in Jharkhand is due to a new western disturbance affecting the region. This disturbance made its impact on the northwestern parts of the country on March 12. As a result, there is an expectation of rain or snow in the foothills of the Himalayas. Over the next five days, clouds will cover Jharkhand and other northern parts of the country, leading to light rain.

Temperature Update

Most districts in Jharkhand experienced clear weather on Tuesday. Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 19.5 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Jamshedpur reached a maximum of 35.6 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 20.2 degrees Celsius. Majority of the districts in the state surpassed the 30-degree mark in terms of maximum temperature.

This could result in partial clouds covering the state and a decrease in temperatures. According to Abhishek Anand, a scientist at the Ranchi Meteorological Department, around 14 districts in the state may experience partial clouds due to this disturbance.
