Weather Changes in Bihar
There have been significant weather changes in Bihar due to the movement in the Bay of Bengal. While the rainfall has brought relief to the people, thunderstorms have also caused damage to life and property. The formation of cyclonic circulation areas around Jharkhand and West Bengal is the reason behind the weather changes in Bihar. Moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal are also entering Bihar, leading to cloudy skies and intermittent rainfall in most districts.
Rainfall Alert in Multiple Districts
On Friday (May 10), there are chances of rainfall in 27 districts of Bihar, including the capital city of Patna. Alerts for rainfall have been issued in various districts, with the possibility of light showers in some areas. The wind speed is expected to be between 40-50 km per hour in most districts, leading to a yellow alert being issued. While some districts have already experienced rainfall, others are expected to have normal weather conditions.
Precautions and School Timings in Patna
The Meteorological Department has advised people to stay indoors during bad weather conditions and to remain cautious. In the event of severe weather, it is recommended to seek shelter in a safe, sturdy building. Farmers are advised to avoid going to their fields during adverse weather conditions. Meanwhile, due to changes in weather, schools in Patna have been instructed to operate at regular hours, following the lifting of restrictions by the District Magistrate on May 9.
