**Weather Forecast in Bihar**
The weather in Bihar is currently showing signs of relief. The intense heat will subside as areas around Bihar have experienced rainfall and strong winds. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, clouds are expected to gather in districts like Patna, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Khagaria, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Banka, Jamui, Katihar, Saharsa, and Vaishali. This will provide relief from the scorching sun, although less than 5 mm of rainfall is expected. Some areas may also experience windy conditions, but the wind speed will remain below 40 km per hour.
**Relief for School Children Due to Weather**
Due to the intense heat, most districts in the state had orders from the District Magistrate to close schools before noon. Except for a few districts like Sheikhpura, most districts were following the orders. With the weather providing relief, discussions are ongoing about returning schools to their normal schedules. The District Magistrate of Patna will issue orders based on the study of the weather forecast, which may lead to similar orders in other districts. Currently, schools have adjusted their timings to end somewhere between 10:30 to 11 am.
**Summer Vacation Likely to Start After May 18**
Private schools in almost all districts, including Patna, had already informed about the summer vacation starting after May 18. Government schools were also expected to have a summer break from around May 15. Due to the extreme heat, it was previously believed that all schools would have to close from May 10, but now there is relief. The temperature has dropped by up to 10 degrees, leading to a slight chill at night. Private schools have prepared to give summer vacations after studies until May 18.
बिहार में मौसम का राहत वाला रुख अभी कायम है। भीषण गर्मी से राहत मिली रहेगी। अपने यहां नहीं, तो आसपास के जिलों में हुई बारिश और चली तेज हवा के कारण ही सही★राहत की स्थिति अमूमन बड़े हिस्से में बनी रहेगी। भारतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग की ओर से अबतक जारी पूर्वानुमान के अनुसार पटना के साथ-साथ सीतामढ़ी, मधुबनी, मुजफ्फरपुर, समस्तीपुर, खगड़िया, बेगूसराय, भागलपुर, पूर्णिया, बांका, जमुई, कटिहार, सहरसा, वैशाली आदि में बादलों का जमघट रहेगा। इसके कारण सूरज की तपिश नहीं परेशान करेगी। भीषण गर्मी के कारण राज्य के ज्यादातर जिलों में जिला दंडाधिकारी के आदेश से दोपहर के पहले ही स्कूल बंद करने का आदेश आया हुआ था, लेकिन अब मौसम ने राहत दी है, जिसके कारण स्कूलों का समय वापस सामान्य करने को लेकर विचार चल रहा है। गर्मी छुट्टी अब 18 मई के बाद से मिलना भी तय है। पटना समेत राज्यभर के लगभग सभी जिलों के प्राइवेट स्कूलों में 18 मई के बाद से ग्रीष्मावकाश मिलने की पहले से सूचना थी। तापमान में 10 डिग्री तक गिरावट है, जिसके कारण रात में हल्की ठंड में महसूस हो रही है। ऐसे में प्राइवेट स्कूलों ने 18 मई तक पढ़ाई के बाद गर्मी की छुट्टी देने की तैयारी कर ली है।
