The Shravani Mela 2024 has completed 12 days. The Kanwariyas are travelling daily from Sultanganj to Baba Dham Devghar, filling their containers with holy Ganga water. The start of the Shravani Mela 2024 saw harsh weather conditions with scorching heat. However, in the past two days, the weather has changed. There is light rain on the Kanwariya path, and devotees are joyfully heading towards Babanagari.

Weather in Sultanganj on August 7th

On the 12th day of the Shravani Mela, Kanwariyas were seen leaving Sultanganj with their containers amidst light rain throughout the day. Nearly one and a half million Shiv devotees bathed in the Ganges and filled their containers after taking a holy dip. The weather department has forecasted active monsoon activity with the possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in the district between three to seven August.

Weather on the Kanwariya Route in Munger

The weather in Munger has changed completely due to the increasing speed of the monsoon. Strong winds and rain on Thursday made the city’s weather pleasant. People felt relieved from the heat as the temperature decreased by up to 4 degrees. The sudden change in the weather brought relief to people from the scorching heat.

Weather on the Kanwariya Route in Banka

Devotees traveling towards Devghar faced intermittent rain showers and pleasant weather on the 12th day of the Shravani Mela. The journey was interrupted by rain showers throughout the day. The weather department has issued a red alert for Bhagalpur, Banka, and Munger due to the possibility of heavy rainfall in the next seven days, especially on the Kanwariya path.
