After two days of cloudy weather, there was light rain on Saturday, causing the maximum temperature to drop by 6.0 degrees compared to the past 24 hours. Despite changes in weather, the maximum temperature in Ranchi could reach up to 39.0 degrees in the next three days, causing discomfort due to heat.
Cloudy Skies with Chance of Rain
On Saturday, there was a sultry heat in Jamshedpur, and cloudy skies remained throughout the day. There was also a drizzle in the morning. The maximum temperature in Jamshedpur was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 22.8 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in the region was in Garhwa district at 42.7 degrees Celsius. Yellow alerts have been issued in some districts regarding the heatwave.
Heatwave Alert in Some Districts Today
According to the weather department, a yellow alert has been issued for heatwave in Garhwa, Palamu, Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Godda, Pakur, and Sahibganj districts of Jharkhand on Sunday. There is a forecast of rain in Godda, Sahibganj, Pakur, Dumka, Deoghar, Giridih, Koderma, Jamtara, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Saraikela Kharsawan districts on Sunday.
