Gulshan Kashyap, a quiet species of animal, wandered into a residential area of the city after getting lost in the jungle. The incident took place in the Jamui district, where the animal, believed to be a deer, entered the village near Malakar Tola in Khaira Bazaar. The villagers managed to capture the animal after a lot of effort and informed the police and forest department. The forest department team arrived at the scene and took the deer with them.

This is the second incident of a black deer straying from the jungle and entering the urban area within a week. Last Saturday, a black deer entered the village of Khaira in the Khaira Block area of Jamui district. Initially, people mistook it for a blue bull, but upon closer inspection, they realized that it was a black deer. The villagers then began their attempts to capture the animal, which led to a chase. The deer ran into a canal and got stuck in the mud. The villagers managed to pull it out and tied it with a rope, but it sustained some injuries during the process.

Due to the presence of forests in the area, wild animals often come into the rural areas. Most of Jamui district is covered by forests, and Khaira Block is situated near the wildlife area of Giddheshwar. Many types of animals can be found in the Giddheshwar forest, which has been their habitat for a long time. It should be noted that this year, a tiger also entered the rural area of Sonopur Block, and there have been several sightings of blue bulls in the rural areas as well. The wildlife area of Giddheshwar is spread over a large area and is considered safe for wild animals due to its dense vegetation.
