Allegations of Saree and Blouse Tearing on SI
A woman in Motihari has accused a Sub-Inspector (SI) of tearing her saree and blouse. On the other hand, the SI has alleged that the villagers attacked him and tore his uniform. However, the woman and her family have not filed a case at the police station regarding this incident. The incident took place in Ragunathpur, Motihari.
Violent Clash Between Two Parties
The incident occurred when there was a dispute between two parties in a Dalit settlement on Wednesday night. The police were informed about the altercation between Kaldev Manjhi and Munna Manjhi. When the police arrived at the scene to calm the situation, Kaldev Manjhi and others attacked the police, resulting in the tearing of SI Manoj Singh’s uniform.
Accusations and Counter-Accusations
The woman has accused SI Manoj Singh of attacking her and tearing her clothes, while on the other hand, Kaldev Manjhi’s wife has claimed that the SI initiated the violence. The SI’s uniform was torn, and he was physically assaulted during the altercation. Two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident, and legal action is being taken against them.
Response from the Police Department
The Station House Officer, Vikas Paswan, stated that an investigation is underway, and action will be taken against those responsible for the violence. The police team was attacked while trying to intervene in the clash, leading to the tearing of SI Manoj Singh’s uniform. Two individuals have been taken into custody, and further legal action is being pursued against them.
