Tragic Incident in Buxar

A 27-year-old female constable, Sapna Kumari, who was posted in the GRP in Buxar, met with a fatal accident when she fell off a train between Neura and Gandhi Halt in Bihar. The GRP team reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem to the sub-divisional hospital. Sapna Kumari was on her way to join duty and her identification was confirmed through a pocket diary found on her.

Personal Details and Recent Events

Sapna Kumari, who recently got married to Rahul Gupta from Dhanbad, was serving as a constable in the GRP since 2019. She had gotten married on July 14th in Dhanbad and was going to join duty in Buxar after spending some time at her in-laws’ house. On Sunday night, she reached Danapur station from where she boarded a train to Buxar for duty.

Tragic Accident and Investigation

Despite multiple attempts to reach her, Sapna Kumari did not respond to calls for nearly two hours. Her mobile location was traced near Gandhi Halt, following which the GRP in Danapur was contacted. It was discovered that Sapna Kumari had fallen off a train and was found in a critical condition on the tracks. Her family has been informed about the tragic incident and after the postmortem, the body will be handed over to them.

Grief-Stricken Family and Further Actions

Sapna Kumari’s family members have arrived at the scene of the accident, and her in-laws have also been notified. The GRP in charge, Sudhir Kumar Singh, confirmed that her death was a result of falling from a train. The authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident to understand the circumstances that led to this tragic accident.
