Tragic Road Accident in Ara

In Ara, a woman lost her life in a road accident. The woman, who was walking on the road, was first hit by a Scorpio, then two other vehicles coming from behind also ran over her. The incident resulted in the woman’s death on the spot. The deceased was Sudama Mahato, a resident of Bibiganj village in Gajarajganj O.P. area.

Protest and Traffic Jam

After the incident, the villagers became agitated. They placed the body on NH and blocked the road for about two and a half hours. During this time, a line of vehicles up to 10 km on both sides of the road was formed. People were demanding compensation and the construction of an underpass.

Police Intervention and Resolution

Upon receiving information about the traffic jam, ASP Parichay Kumar, trainee DSP Rashmi Kumari, and Gajarajganj O.P. in-charge Hari Prasad Sharma reached the scene with the police force to calm and explain to the people. The police then called the CEO and BDO of Ara block to assure the crowd and remove the roadblock.

Post-Mortem and Family Details

The police took the body in custody and conducted a post-mortem at the Sadar Hospital. Sudama Mahato, the husband of the deceased, mentioned that they were working in the fields late Wednesday evening when his wife started to return home. Despite his insistence, she left alone and was hit by a car on the way. The couple had three sons and three daughters.

आरा में सड़क हादसे में एक महिला की मौत हो गई। सड़क पर पैदल चल रही महिला को पहले स्कॉर्पियो ने टक्कर मारी, फिर पीछे आ रहे दो वाहनों ने भी रौंद दिया। हादसे में महिला की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। घटना के बाद ग्रामीण आक्रोशित हो गए और अंडरपास बनाने की मांग कर रहे थे। पुलिस ने शव को अपने कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमॉर्टम सदर अस्पताल में करवाया और मृतका के परिवार को संबोधित किया। गांव के लोगों ने सरकार से अंडरपास बनाने की मांग की और पुलिस ने इस मामले में जांच शुरू की।
