Tragedy in Dharampur Village of Sikandara Thana Area
A woman named Kajal Kumari from Dharampur village in Sikandara Thana area of Jamui committed suicide by consuming poison after her husband refused to give money for her treatment. Her body has been taken to the Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The woman’s family members accused her in-laws of giving her poison, leading to her death. The police from Sikandara Thana arrived at the scene and took the body into custody for further investigation.
Dispute over Money Leads to Tragic End
Kajal Kumari’s husband, Sanjay Mandal, who works as a laborer in Kolkata, West Bengal, was involved in a dispute with her over money. Kajal had asked Sanjay for Rs. 20,000 for her treatment, but he only transferred Rs. 3,000 to her account. This led to an argument between the couple, resulting in Kajal consuming poison and losing her life.
Allegations of Murder
Kajal’s elder sister, Rani Devi, has accused her in-laws of murdering her by giving her poison. She also revealed that Sanjay Mandal had been previously married, and his first wife had also met with a similar fate. After Kajal’s death, her mother-in-law and father-in-law fled the house. Rani Devi has demanded a thorough investigation and action by the police in the case.
Police Investigation and Postmortem
The Station House Officer of Sikandara Thana, Amarendra Kumar, informed that the body has been sent to the Sadar Hospital for postmortem based on the application submitted by the deceased’s family members. The police are currently investigating the case to uncover the truth behind Kajal Kumari’s tragic demise.
