Tragic Incident in Madhubani
In a village called Benta in Khajauli, Madhubani, a woman consumed poison out of anger from scolding by her in-laws. Unfortunately, as her in-laws were taking her to get medical treatment, she passed away on the way. The incident is said to have occurred due to a dispute among children, which led the woman to take this extreme step.
Victim’s Identity
The deceased has been identified as Gunja Devi (26), daughter of Shankar Mandal from Benta village in Khajauli, Madhubani. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police sent the body for postmortem at Sadar Hospital in Madhubani. The scolding by in-laws was reportedly due to the woman beating the children, which escalated the situation.

The woman’s in-laws expressed shock over the fact that their daughter-in-law would be so upset by scolding that she would take such a drastic step. They mentioned that disputes among children were common in the household, but they never expected it to lead to such a tragic outcome. The woman’s decision to consume poison came as a surprise to them.

मधुबनी के खजौली के बेंता में एक महिला ने सास-ससुर की डांट से नाराज होकर जहर खा लिया। उसके बाद उसके ससुराल वाले उसे इलाज के लिए लेकर जाते रहे, लेकिन उसकी मौत हो गई। घटना के बारे में बताया जा रहा है कि उसने बच्चों के बीच हुए विवाद के चलते यह कदम उठाया था। घटना खजौली थाना क्षेत्र अंतर्गत बेंता गांव की है और मृतका खजौली बेंता गांव के शंकर मंडल की पुत्री गूंजा देवी थी। उसकी मौत के बारे में पुलिस ने पोस्टमार्टम के लिए शव को सदर अस्पताल मधुबनी भेज दिया। यहां तक कि उसके सास-ससुर ने कहा कि उन्होंने कभी सोचा नहीं था कि उनकी बहू इतना बड़ा कदम उठाएगी। इस दौरान बच्चों के बीच विवाद होने से उसने यह कदम उठाया था। चौकीदार ने बताया कि उसने जहर खाकर अपनी मौत की वजह सास-ससुर की डांट समझी।
