Tragedy struck in Betiya as a woman was attacked by a man-eating tiger while she was out grazing cattle. Unfortunately, the woman did not survive the attack. The incident took place just 100 meters away from the Pidari SSB camp in the Govardhana forest area of the district. After the woman’s death, a sense of fear has gripped the area. Locals claim that a man-eating tiger resides in the jungle. The forest department is taking this matter seriously.

The body of the woman, who was attacked by the tiger, was recovered from the jungle. Forest guards and doctors have confirmed that the woman went to graze cattle on Sunday and did not return. Upon investigation, it was discovered that she had been killed in the tiger attack. The woman’s body was recovered from the jungle late Sunday night at 1:00 am. Authorities have been informed of the incident and further action is being taken. The deceased woman has been identified as Chilhoriya Devi, a resident of Bakheri village in the Govardhana police station area.
