★Madhumita Kumari from Mungeer fell victim to cyber criminals who lured her with the offer of an iPhone at a low price, resulting in a loss of Rs 27,000. However, she was able to recover the money with the help of the cyber police.
Jyoti Raj and Neha’s Ordeals
Jyoti Raj, a resident of Akhada Ghat Road in Muzaffarpur, was tricked by cyber criminals who stole Rs 43,000 from her account by falsely claiming to be following the Indian cricket team’s page online. She has filed a complaint against the unknown cyber criminals. Similarly, Neha, a resident of Kazi Mohammadpur police station area in Muzaffarpur, fell victim to cyber fraud on January 8th, with Rs 49,500 being withdrawn from her account. She is now caught between two police stations. While Jyoti Raj and Neha did not receive full assistance from the police, Madhumita Kumari from Munger was able to find relief through the active involvement of the police.
Madhumita Kumari’s Story
Madhumita Kumari from Milkhi Chak village in Jamalpur district of Munger was deceived by cyber criminals who stole Rs 27,000 from her by offering to sell her an iPhone for Rs 5,000. She filed a complaint, and the police took immediate action. However, Madhumita revealed that the cyber criminals managed to extract money from her account four times and then shut down her phone. She returned to the police station to withdraw her complaint after the cyber criminals returned Rs 27,348 to her account on February 12th.
Advice from the Police
The police have advised people to remain cautious and use their mobile phones carefully. They have warned against falling for ads on social media platforms offering gifts at low prices. They have also recommended filing complaints on the NCRP portal or at the cyber police station if anyone becomes a victim of cyber fraud. It is important to maintain security and not click on any unknown links. Stay vigilant and stay safe.
हाइलाइट्समुजफ्फरपुर अखाड़ाघाट रोड निवासी महिला ज्योति राज और मुंगेर की मधुमिता कुमारी ने साइबर ठगों की ठगी का शिकार होने के बाद पुलिस की मदद ली है। ज्योति राज के खाते से 43 हजार रुपये की ठगी हो गई थी, जबकि मधुमिता कुमारी के खाते से 27 हजार रुपये की ठगी हुई थी। पुलिस ने दोनों महिलाओं की मदद की है और ठगों को पकड़ा है। कार्रवाई के बाद से दोनों महिलाएं पुलिस की निगरानी में हैं।
