Workshop on Mithila Painting at Bihar Museum
A workshop on Mithila painting is being organized at the Bihar Museum. The workshop will continue until August 7th. The program was inaugurated by the Director of Bihar Museum, Anjani Kumar Singh, and the Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation, Top Cop Kapil Ashok.
Traditional Mithila Painting Techniques
Director Anjani Kumar Singh mentioned that a few decades ago, Mithila (Madhubani) paintings were created using only natural colors. Paintings were made using colors obtained from leaves, flowers, and clay under utensils used for cooking. Indigo, turmeric, and marigold were used for blue, yellow, and orange colors respectively. These colors were durable, attractive, and beautiful.
Artists Working with Mithila Painting for Years
Artists who have been working with Mithila painting for 10-12 years are participating in the program. The Deputy Director of Bihar Museum, Ashok Kumar Sinha, mentioned that they have been working with Mithila painting artists for the past 10-12 years. They recently discovered the difference in cow dung obtained from urban and rural areas. Paintings made from cow dung from rural areas are more beautiful and attractive.
बिहार म्यूजियम में मिथिला पेंटिंग पर वर्कशॉप का आयोजन किया गया है। यह वर्कशॉप 7 अगस्त तक चलेगा और कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन बिहार म्यूजियम के महानिदेशक अंजनी कुमार सिंह और बिहार स्टेट रोड डेवलपमेंट कॉरपोरेशन के प्रबंध निदेशक शीर्षत कपिल अशोक ने किया। मिथिला पेंटिंग के प्राचीन तकनीकों को बचाने के लिए इस वर्कशॉप का आयोजन किया गया है। इसके साथ ही, कलाकारों ने गाय के गोबर से बनी पेंटिंग की खूबसूरती और आकर्षण को भी देखा।
