Tragic Incident in Koilwar Thana Area

A young man drowned in the Son River located in the Goriya Ghat area of Koilwar Thana region in Bhojpur district, leading to his death. His body was recovered from the banks of the Son River the next day, on Friday. The deceased, a resident of Durjan Chak village, Ward Number Four in the Koilwar Thana area, has been identified.

Family’s Anguish and Search Efforts

The deceased’s cousin, Jitendra Kumar, mentioned that he had left home on Thursday morning for a walk and did not return home by evening. Worried family members reached the Sadar Hospital, while local residents informed the authorities about the discovery of the body. Despite extensive search efforts, the family was unable to locate him.

Recovery of the Body and Postmortem Procedure

Local authorities informed the family that the body had been found near the Son River at Goriya Ghat, under the Koilwar Six Lane Bridge. Upon receiving this information, the family immediately rushed to the spot. The police took possession of the body and conducted a postmortem at the Sadar Hospital. The deceased, survived by two brothers and a sister, had his mother, Manju Devi, brother Chandan Kumar, and sister Rupa Kumari grieving his loss.

The tragic incident has left the family devastated, with the mother and other family members in a state of deep sorrow. The local community has come forward to support the family during this difficult time. The loss of the young man has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the need for increased safety measures near water bodies in the region.
