A young man was murdered in Sitamarhi, Bihar. The incident took place in the Shivnagar Nunia Tola area of the Begusarai district. Late on Thursday night, the criminals attacked a vegetable trader from Begusarai with a knife, leaving him injured. The incident caused panic in the area, with a crowd of people gathering. The injured man was admitted to a PHC (Primary Health Center) and later referred to a district hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors.
As soon as the news of the incident emerged, the police arrived at the scene and began their investigation. The body was sent for postmortem after being taken into custody by the police. In order to apprehend the culprits, the police launched a search operation in the Sinduriya village. The deceased has been identified as Sonu Kumar Singh, the 27-year-old son of Nareh Singh, a resident of Sogaraha, Shokra ward in Begusarai.
According to his relatives, Sonu had been living in Sitamarhi for several years and was engaged in wholesale vegetable selling. He had become acquainted with Pawan Mahato, the son of Sarayug Mahato from Nunia Tola in Begusarai. He had asked Pawan to introduce him to the vegetable traders in Begusarai, and it was for this purpose that Sonu visited Pawan’s house on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Inspector Chandrabhushan Kumar Singh, the station house officer, stated that they are running an operation to apprehend the culprits. The villagers claim that the police station in Sinduriya village had been temporarily converted into a police outpost. The news of the incident has left the relatives distraught, and they have already left for Sitamarhi. The villagers are urging the police to take this case seriously and apprehend the culprits as soon as possible.
