Violence Erupts After Incident
In Gopalganj district, a young man from Semariya village was murdered. On Friday, three of his friends took him from his home and later his body was found in a pond in Ahirauli village. The relatives have accused the deceased’s friends of the murder. The victim has been identified as Pipul Ray, a 23-year-old resident of Semariya village in Panchdevari block. Since the incident, all three friends of the deceased have been missing. The police have taken the body into custody for postmortem at Sadar Hospital in Gopalganj.
Friends Lured Victim Away from Home
Pipul Ray used to drive a truck from Delhi to Guwahati. He had been staying at home for the past month. On Friday afternoon, three friends arrived on two bikes and took Pipul Ray with them. In the evening, a youth called from Pipul Ray’s mobile and said that he had fallen into a canal near Tetariya village. When the relatives reached Tetariya, they found nothing. The caller then informed them that Pipul Ray had fallen into a pond near Ahirauli village. The relatives found Pipul Ray’s body in the pond with his mobile phone placed on his chest.
Body Dumped in Pond to Hide Evidence
The police were informed about the incident at Kateya police station. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and took the body into custody for postmortem at Sadar Hospital. The incident has caused a stir among the relatives. Pipul Ray was the younger of two brothers. The police have started an investigation to unravel the mystery behind the death and are collecting technical evidence. The cause of the youth’s death remains unknown. After the postmortem report, it will be clear how the death occurred. A written complaint has been requested from the relatives to register an FIR for the murder. The relatives have accused the deceased’s friends of the murder and stated that they lured him away on a bike and later dumped his body in the pond to hide evidence.
