Ajmer Vande Bharat Train: Passengers in Haryana will soon have another Vande Bharat Express train connecting Ajmer and Old Delhi. The train will be extended to Chandigarh Railway Station. The schedule for the train to Chandigarh will be announced after the program in Ayodhya on January 22.
Proposed Schedule: According to the information received, the railway has completed preparations to operate the train to Chandigarh. However, an official announcement is still awaited. The proposed schedule was released a few days ago. According to the schedule, train number 20977 will depart from Ajmer at 6:20 am and reach Ambala Cantt at 11:35 am and Chandigarh at 12:15 pm.
Similarly, the return train, number 20978, will depart from Chandigarh at 3:15 pm, reach Ambala Cantt and Delhi, and arrive in Ajmer at 11:15 pm. It was expected that the announcement for the operation of the train could be made anytime after December 30, but the official date of operation has not been announced yet.
Direct Rail Connectivity from Ambala to Gurugram: The biggest benefit of extending this Vande Bharat Express train to Chandigarh will be the direct rail connectivity between Ambala Cantt and Gurugram. Currently, passengers have to travel from Ambala to Delhi on Shatabdi Express or other trains and then take the metro to Gurugram. This train operation will eliminate this problem.
Businessmen and professionals traveling from Ambala to Gurugram and Rewari will also have the convenience of direct train travel. Currently, their only option was to travel by bus or private vehicles, which incurred more expenses over time. But now, with the operation of the Vande Bharat Express train, reaching Gurugram and Rewari will become easier.
