NMRC has announced relief for the residents of Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh by proposing the Aqua Metro Link Line from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the metro line has been sent to the Uttar Pradesh government for approval. This new metro route will benefit the people of Greater Noida as it will connect them to Delhi. The project was approved in the 38th board meeting of NMRC, and construction is expected to begin soon.

According to the revised DPR, the estimated cost of the project from Botanical Garden to Sector-142 is 2,254.35 crore rupees. The proposed line will be 11.56 kilometers long with eight metro stations. Botanical Garden will serve as the source station for this line, connecting it to the existing Magenta Line. The Aqua Line will provide direct connectivity from Greater Noida to Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 1 in Delhi.

The Blue Line of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) runs through Botanical Garden, connecting passengers to New Delhi Railway Station, Anand Vihar Railway Station, and bus stations. This direct connectivity will benefit the people of Noida and Greater Noida. Passengers will also be able to disembark at the Botanical Garden Aqua Line station and easily catch buses to Agra, Mathura, and Lucknow. The DPR of the proposed line has been sent to the government for approval, and it will be forwarded to the central government. The approved DPR was given in the 38th board meeting of NMRC. The corridor will be 11.56 kilometers long, benefiting approximately 80,000 commuters daily. The entire corridor will have eight stations, and the project is estimated to cost around 2,254.35 crore rupees.
