GDA Faces Challenges in Acquiring Private Land for Metro Phase-3
GDA is facing challenges in acquiring private land for the Metro Phase-3 project. The project requires a total of 26,691.30 square meters of land, including 7,690.10 square meters of private land and 19,001.20 square meters of government land. The high circle rates in Indirapuram and Vasundhara make it difficult to purchase the required 7,690.10 square meters of private land for GDA.
Metro Phase-3 Project Cost and Funding
The Metro Phase-3 project is estimated to cost 1,873.13 crore rupees. GDA, facing financial constraints, will find it extremely difficult to purchase private land for the metro project, which will cost more than 100 crore rupees. The Metro Phase-3 project will be completed with a budget of 1,873.13 crore rupees.
Land Requirement for Each Station in Metro Phase-3
The Metro Phase-3 project includes five stations along a 5.017 km route: Vaibhav Khand, DPS Indirapuram, Shakti Khand, Vasundhara Sector-7, and Sahibabad Metro Station. GDA will need private land for each station. Shakti Khand station, for example, will require a maximum of 1200 square meters of land. GDA’s Chief Engineer, Manavendra Singh, has informed that the matter is under the knowledge of higher officials and further action will be taken accordingly.
