Delhi-Katra Green Field Expressway: The construction of the Delhi-Katra Green Field Expressway, starting from the village of Nilothi in Bahadurgarh, is 75% complete and is expected to be open by March. It is anticipated that vehicles will start using the expressway within four months. Officials claim that facilities centers will be established on the expressway, similar to those found in foreign countries. These centers will provide services such as food, vehicle maintenance, petrol stations, and restrooms equipped with CNJ and electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities. Emergency services such as ambulances, fire brigades, trauma centers, and traffic police teams will be available 24/7 on the expressway, with three service centers being established in Sonipat.

The total cost of this project is INR 39,000 crore, with construction of five out of 21 packages being carried out in Haryana. The total length of this project is 670 kilometers, with the main highway being 570 kilometers long from Nilothi to Gurudaspur. The Greenfield highway from Gurudaspur to Katra will be 122.288 kilometers long. The distance between Nakodar and Amritsar will be reduced to 99 kilometers. This expressway will make travel from Delhi to Katra easier and will benefit those visiting the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. The journey will be completed in six hours at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The traffic congestion on NH-44 in Sonipat, Delhi, will also be reduced.

New roads will also be constructed in Chandigarh, Punjab, and Jammu and Kashmir. Sonipat will be connected to the Green Field Expressway at five locations. The construction of the expressway is progressing at a war footing, with railing installation on flyovers already underway. 75% of the work has been completed, and soon vehicles will be running on the road. Gardening work will begin on flyovers, and the construction work at each flyover of the Katra Expressway is being carried out at a war footing, using heavy machinery. This work will also be completed soon. Currently, the railing installation process is ongoing on the flyovers. Toll booths will be established near Hasanpur village, eight kilometers away from Nilothi village, on the road starting from Nilothi village on KMP.
