Funding for Traffic Study: The funding for the feasibility study and traffic analysis is being sought from the NCR Planning Board and Mujaffarnagar. Officials have stated that the project can only proceed after the completion of the traffic study report.
Benefits to Commuters: The expansion of the Rapid Rail Network to Mujaffarnagar will benefit a large number of commuters. It will provide easier travel options for people traveling from Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Noida. Currently, the Rapid Rail Network covers only half of Meerut, and the extension to Mujaffarnagar will greatly benefit the people there.
Inclusion of Mujaffarnagar in NCR: Mujaffarnagar was included in the NCR in 2018, and since then, it has been a part of the NCR Planning Board for traffic and development purposes. The traffic study will help determine the extent of benefits the people of Mujaffarnagar will receive from the Rapid Rail Connectivity.
Improved Travel and Reduced Pollution: The daily commute from Ghaziabad to Mujaffarnagar sees a large number of people traveling. Many people travel from Ghaziabad to Mujaffarnagar for work, and vice versa. The extension of the Rapid Rail Network will greatly reduce travel time for these commuters and help reduce pollution levels. Currently, the journey from Ghaziabad to Mujaffarnagar takes more than 2 hours, but with the extension, it is expected to take less than an hour.
दिल्ली-मेरठ रैपिड रेल कॉरिडोर का विस्तार मुजफ्फरनगर तक किया जा रहा है। इसके लिए एनसीआर प्लानिंग बोर्ड ने व्यवहार्यता रिपोर्ट तैयार करने का निर्णय लिया है और एनसीआरटीसी से ट्रैफिक स्टडी कराने की बात चल रही है। इससे पता चलेगा कि मुजफ्फरनगर तक कॉरिडोर के विस्तार से कितने यात्रियों को फायदा होगा। इसके बाद ही इस दिशा में आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी। यातायात अध्ययन का वित्तपोषण की चर्चा चल रही है और एनसीआर प्लानिंग बोर्ड और मुजफ्फरनगर से फंडिंग की मांग की जा रही है। मुजफ्फरनगर के लोगों का सफर आसान होने से वहां के लोगों को फायदा होगा और यह प्रदूषण को भी कम करेगा।
