Delhi to Vaishno Devi Delhi Expressway will be completed by 2024, including the Sonipat-Jind Rajmarg and Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway. This will make it easier for people from Gohana to travel to Delhi, Amritsar, and Vaishno Devi. The expressway will start near Rukhi village in Gohana and extend up to Sivanmal village, covering a distance of 26.8 kilometers. Gohana will have two entry and exit points on the expressway, providing convenience for commuters.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is working on two major projects, the Sonipat-Jind Rajmarg and Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, which are expected to be completed by 2024. This will greatly benefit the people of Gohana, providing easy access to Delhi, Amritsar, and Vaishno Devi. The availability of affordable land in Gohana compared to Sonipat, Kharkhoda, and Gannaur will attract industries and create employment opportunities for the youth in this region.

The expressway will pass through the Gohana subdivision, starting from Sonipat and passing through Rohtak, Jind, and Kaithal, before entering Punjab and reaching Katra in Jammu. It will also connect with the Kundli-Palwal-Manesar Expressway in Jhajjar. The construction of the expressway in Gohana will provide two entry and exit points for vehicles, enhancing connectivity with the Panipat-Rohtak Highway and Jind-Gohana Greenfield Highway.

The Gohana-Sivanmal section of the expressway will cover a distance of 26.8 kilometers. NHAI is constructing a 64-kilometer long expressway from Jhajjar’s Jasaur Kheri to Sivanmal in Gohana, with a target to complete the work by March 2024. The Jind-Sonipat Greenfield Highway is also in its final phase of completion and is expected to be finished within four months. With the completion of both projects, the people of Gohana will have fast connectivity to Delhi, Punjab, and Jammu, attracting industrial investments from Delhi’s entrepreneurs.

With the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, it will be easier to travel from Delhi to Katra. Currently, people travel from Delhi to Katra via the GT Road, passing through Ambala and Jalandhar in Punjab. This journey takes approximately 14 hours. The expressway will reduce the distance between Delhi and Katra, allowing travelers to reach their destination in about seven to eight hours.
