Delhi Weather: The minimum temperature in Delhi has increased by nearly three degrees in the past four days, amidst fluctuating weather conditions. However, the cold winds are still causing a chill in the air. The weather department has also issued a yellow alert for the next two days.
Visibility levels at IGI Airport dropped to 50 meters at 5.30 am on Thursday due to dense fog. However, as the day progressed, the fog started to dissipate and visibility improved. The sun started to come out after 9 am.
The weather became slightly pleasant in the morning and evening, but the winds coming from the hilly areas continued to create a chilly atmosphere. The maximum temperature recorded in Delhi was 18.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 6.6 degrees Celsius, both being one degree below normal. The humidity level ranged between 56% and 100%.
Mayur Vihar was the coldest area during the day with a maximum temperature of 14.8 degrees Celsius. Narela recorded a maximum temperature of 16.1 degrees Celsius. The morning in Ridge area was the coldest with a minimum temperature of 5.9 degrees Celsius.
The weather office expects dense fog to continue in the mornings for the next two days. A yellow alert has been issued for Friday and Saturday. The maximum temperature is expected to be 18 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 6 degrees Celsius on Friday. Clear skies are expected.
