Flight operations from Hisar Airport in Haryana are set to begin in April. The state government plans to offer direct flights from Hisar to five major states and one union territory in the first phase. The routes have already been decided, with flights available to Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Kullu, Ahmedabad, Jammu, and Dharamshala. Discussions are also underway with Alliance Air to start flights to cities like Jaipur and Ahmedabad.

Additional Chief Secretary (Civil Aviation Department) Sudhir Rajpal stated that the state government is in talks with Alliance Air to commence flights to cities such as Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. The company has already obtained the necessary license from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for operations at the airport. The process of obtaining a license for the airport is underway, and commercial operations are expected to start in April this year. The Hisar Airport is located approximately 230 kilometers west of New Delhi and is spread over an area of more than 7000 acres. The development of this airport will be carried out in three different phases. In addition to the Hisar Airport, the Haryana government has also developed five other airstrips in the state.
