Good news for people living in Delhi-NCR, as Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has instructed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials to reopen the Gurugram section of Dwarka Expressway. The completion of this section has been confirmed by state ministers and the Gurugram MP, Rao Inderjit Singh. Although no official date has been announced for the inauguration of this section, its reopening will provide much-needed relief to the residents.
Both ministers also discussed the delay in the completion of projects on national highways and stressed the need to expedite them. In particular, the completion of the elevated road project between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bharadwaj Chowk was highlighted. Rao referred to a 2017 notification, stating that this road is part of NHAI’s responsibility. Gadkari instructed officials to oversee its development under NHAI and formulate plans for its rapid completion.
Rao Inderjit Singh also appealed to the central minister to relocate the toll collection point at the Kherki Daula Toll Plaza, as the toll collection period has already ended. Gadkari informed him about the new toll collection plan and assured that the toll plaza will be removed soon.
The Dwarka Expressway is divided into four packages. The first package is from Shiv Murti to Dwarka, the second from Dwarka Urban Extension Road to Bajghera, the third from Bajghera to Basai Rail Overbridge (Delhi-Haryana border), and the fourth from Basai Rail Overbridge to Kherki Daula. The section of the highway that enters Gurugram includes an interchange that connects the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway (NH-48) and Southern Peripheral Road near Kherki Daula.
द्वारका एक्सप्रेसवे के गुरुग्राम खंड को फिर से खोलने का निर्देश दिया गया है। इससे दिल्ली-एनसीआर में रहने वाले लोगों को बहुत राहत मिलेगी। राज्य के मंत्रियों और सांसद राव इंद्रजीत सिंह ने इसे यातायात के लिए खोलने की मांग की है। इसके साथ ही, टोल वसूली की समयावधि समाप्त हो चुकी है और टोल प्लाजा को बदलने की योजना बनाई जा रही है। एक्सप्रेसवे को चार पैकेजों में बांटा गया है और इसमें गुरुग्राम का भाग भी शामिल है।
