Khalilabad-Bahraich via Sravasti Railway Line Project
The first phase of the Khalilabad-Bahraich via Sravasti Railway Line Project has commenced. In the first phase, the line will be laid from Khalilabad to Bansi. Along with the process of land acquisition, the work of filling soil is underway in the 10 km stretch between Bansi and Khesaraha on this phase. Once the remaining land is available, the work will begin. The first phase is expected to be completed in approximately three years.
Foundation Stone Laid in March 2019
The foundation stone for the Khalilabad-Bahraich railway line, which aims to connect approximately 100 km of Sant Kabirnagar and Siddharthnagar districts, was laid in March 2019. The railway line will also be connected to the Gorakhpur-Badani railway line. Last year, the Ministry of Railways included it in the special project category.
Construction to Continue Once Land is Available
It was decided at that time that construction would continue once the land is available. In the first phase, the work of land acquisition is underway between Khalilabad and Bansi. The new railway line will have four junctions, 16 crossing stations, and 12 halts.
खलीलाबाद-बहराइच वाया श्रावस्ती रेलवे लाइन परियोजना का पहला चरण शुरू हो गया है। इस चरण में खलीलाबाद से बांसी तक लाइन बिछाई जा रही है और बांसी-खेसरहा मार्ग के 10 किमी तक मिट्टी भराई का काम चल रहा है। इस परियोजना का पहला चरण लगभग तीन वर्षों में पूरा होने की उम्मीद है। यह रेलवे लाइन संतकबीरनगर और सिद्धार्थनगर जिलों को जोड़ेगी और गोरखपुर-बढ़नी रेलवे लाइन से भी जुड़ेगी। इस परियोजना में चार जंक्शन, 16 क्रॉसिंग स्टेशन और 12 हॉल्ट होंगे।
