New Ring Road in Delhi: Good news for the residents of Delhi as the construction of the 75-kilometer long Urban Extension Road (UER-II) is nearing completion. The project, which is expected to begin soon, will connect Alipur in North Delhi to Mahipalpur. The Indian National Highways Authority (NHAI) announced that UER-II is a 6-lane access-controlled highway that will connect North/West/South-West Delhi to Gurugram and NH-44. It will also provide connectivity to Sonipat and Bahadurgarh Bypass.

Easy travel between Gurugram and IGI Airport:
The new ring road will help reduce traffic congestion on the internal/external ring road, Dhulakuan, Rohatak Road, and NH-4. It will provide convenient travel between Gurugram and IGI Airport, reducing travel time significantly. Currently, it takes around 2 hours for people coming from Punjab and Haryana to reach the airport, but with the construction of the ring road, the journey will be completed in just 20-30 minutes.

Part of Delhi’s Master Plan:
The construction of this ring road is a part of Delhi’s Master Plan 2021. The 6-lane road project was proposed in the master plan to alleviate congestion on the existing ring road and the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway. UER-II has utilized tons of inert waste materials in its construction.

Overall, the new ring road in Delhi will enhance connectivity and reduce travel time for residents. It will provide a convenient travel route between North/West/South-West Delhi and Gurugram, as well as offer a faster journey between Gurugram and IGI Airport. The completion of this project is eagerly awaited by the public.
