Metro Station: On Monday, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) approved a detailed project report (DPR) that includes an interchange station on the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line and an extension of its network to Noida. The DMRC and NMRC aqua lines will connect at Sector 61.
Good news for metro commuters. It will now be easier to travel to Greater Noida or Greater West. Another new metro corridor is under construction in Noida. It will be built from Noida Sector 51 to Science Park-5. The new metro line will have eleven stations at a cost of Rs 2991.60 crore.
What about the metro route? It will connect Greater Noida Sector 51, Greater Noida Sector 61, Greater Noida Sector 70, Greater Noida Sector 122, Greater Noida Sector 123, Greater Noida Sector 4 Ecotech-12, Greater Noida Sector 2, Greater Noida Sector 3, Greater Noida Sector 10, and Greater Noida Knowledge Park-V.
Get connectivity benefits. The new metro corridor will provide relief to hundreds of thousands of people in North Noida and Greater Noida. NMRC Managing Director Lokesh M said that this connectivity will provide direct connectivity to people living in Noida, Greater Noida West, and Greater Noida.
Senior IAS officer, who is also the CEO of Noida Authority, said that today the NMRC board has approved the DPR for the project. The DPR will now be sent for approval to the Indian government and the Uttar Pradesh government.
Thousands of families live in Greater Noida West. Noida Extension (previously known as Greater Noida West) is now home to hundreds of thousands of people. Many people are at home here, but public transportation is still a problem. There have been previous demonstrations for railway connectivity and bus facilities.
