Plan to Connect Noida Airport with Haryana through Railway Corridor
A plan has been made to create a railway corridor from Aligarh’s Chola railway station to Haryana’s Palwal railway station in order to connect Noida airport with the Delhi-Kolkata railway line. The state government has sent a proposal to the Railway Board to create a railway line from Chola station to Palwal. The railway track will be 47.6 kilometers long and will include the Jhewar and Chola railway stations. The railway line will also connect with the Noida International Airport.
New Railway Station to Benefit the Region
The corridor will cover a distance of approximately 47.6 kilometers. A major railway station should be built in Jhewar along this corridor. Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra stated that the region will benefit from this station, as it will provide easy access to Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Haryana, Rajasthan, and all other states in the country. There is also a dedicated freight corridor parallel to the Delhi-Kolkata railway line. It will be connected to the proposed new railway line near the Chola railway station. New Dadri already has both eastern and western dedicated freight corridors, which will benefit Noida airport and industries.
Special Trains for Anand Vihar, Delhi
With the railway corridor, special trains can be operated from Noida airport to Chola and Anand Vihar, reaching Delhi. This will benefit residents of both areas. The demand for rail facilities in the district will also be met.
Proposal Sent to Railway Board
In a board meeting, the Yamuna Expressway Authority had passed a proposal to create a railway line from Aligarh’s Chola to Noida airport on the Delhi-Kolkata railway line. The corridor was 20 kilometers long. Now, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra has sent the proposal on behalf of the state government to the Railway Board. The state government has decided to create a corridor from Chola railway station on the Delhi-Kolkata railway line and Jhewar airport on the Delhi-Mumbai railway line to Palwal station.
हरियाणा सरकार ने दिल्ली-कोलकाता रेलवे लाइन पर चोला रेलवे स्टेशन से पलवल रेलवे स्टेशन तक 47.6 किमी लंबे रेलवे गलियारे की योजना बनाई है। इससे नोएडा इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट और उद्योगों को फायदा होगा। इसके साथ ही दिल्ली के आनंद विहार के लिए विशेष ट्रेनें चलाई जा सकती हैं। इस प्रस्ताव को रेलवे बोर्ड को भेजा गया है।
