Reliance Smart City, being built near Gurugram, is a world-class smart city project led by industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s company, Reliance Industries. The project is named Model Economic Township Limited or MET City. This integrated industrial city is the fastest-growing city in North India and has attracted over 450 multinational companies. Four Japanese giants will also be a part of this project. Reliance’s MET City has already won two awards during the year.
Covering 8,000 acres of land in Jhajjar district, Haryana, the company has initiated the construction of a world-class greenfield smart city. The first phase of the city has been granted a license to be built on 1,900 acres of land. Reliance has already invested Rs 8,800 crore in the basic infrastructure of the land. The city will have five industrial clusters and two SCZ projects, generating over 25,000 jobs so far.
One of the highlights of this new city by Reliance is its connectivity. It is well-connected to Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, and other cities in the region. The city is strategically located with Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and near Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. It will also have rail connectivity through the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).

मुकेश अंबानी की कंपनी रिलायंस कर रही है गुरुग्राम के पास एक विश्व स्तरीय स्मार्ट सिटी बनाने की परियोजना, जिसे मॉडल इकोनॉमिक टाउनशिप लिमिटेड या मेट सिटी के नाम से जाना जाएगा। इस शहर में चार जापानी दिग्गज भी होंगे शामिल और इसमें 450 से अधिक मल्टीपल ब्रांड कंपनियां एकत्रित होंगी। इस परियोजना में 8000 एकड़ जमीन पर शहर बन रहा है और रिलायंस ने इसमें 8800 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश किया है। इस शहर की खासियत इसकी मजबूत कनेक्टिविटी है, जिससे यह दिल्ली, गुरुग्राम, नोएडा और अन्य क्षेत्रों से जुड़ा हुआ है।
