NCRTC, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation, will present a detailed project report by March. The Noida Airport will be connected to Ghaziabad through Rapid Rail. NCRTC has already prepared the feasibility report for this. This route will connect Ghaziabad, Greater Noida West, and Yamuna Authority region. In the first phase, a 37.15 km long corridor will be constructed between Ghaziabad and Sector Ecotech-5 (Kasna), which will be completed by this year. The second phase will include a 35.11 km corridor from Sector Ecotech-6 to the airport, which will also be completed by this year.

The first phase of the corridor from Ghaziabad to Kasna will cost INR 9,798 crores. The second phase from Kasna to the airport will cost INR 6,391 crores. The central government will contribute 20% of the cost, while the state government will pay 50%. The remaining amount will be funded by YEIDA and Greater Noida Authority.

Officials from NCRTC recently presented the progress of the work done so far to officials from the Yamuna Authority. They mentioned that the survey has started to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR). Soil testing is being conducted to determine the location of the stations and pillars. In addition, the track alignment is being determined. The metro will also run on this track. The NCRTC team is collecting data for the DPR. NCRTC officials will present the DPR in February, and Authority officials will provide their suggestions. After that, the DPR will be submitted.
