UP Railway: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has stated that the use of railways in the UP government was solely for political and private interests, with disregard for funding. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi considered the railway crucial in strengthening the Indian economy.
Increased funding for development: The railway is now receiving INR 240,000 crore instead of the previous allocation of INR 30,000-35,000 crore for development. This statement was made by the Railway Minister on Wednesday after flagging off the New Delhi-Mau-Mumbai Special Train through virtual medium.
Upgrading 156 railway stations in UP: It has been decided to upgrade 156 railway stations in UP to international standards, including Mau Junction. The Railway Minister stated that a budget of INR 17,507 crore has been allocated for the expansion and development of the railway infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh for 2023-24, which is approximately 16 times higher than the average budget allocation of INR 1,109 crore between 2009-14.
Electric trains and development: All railway lines in UP are now electrified, with 100% electrification. With the support of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, development is continuously progressing. The UP government has shown its commitment towards the development and future aspirations of the passengers, farmers, weavers, and youth through the Mau-Mumbai Special Train.
Improved connectivity to Mumbai: Minister of Urban Development and Energy, Ake Sharma, flagged off the train from Mau Junction. The train will directly travel from Mau Junction to Mumbai via Muhammadabad Gohana, Azamgarh, Shahganj, Jaunpur, and Prayagraj. This will provide better train connectivity for the people in the region who wish to travel to Mumbai. Currently, the train only goes to Prayagraj.
यूपी में रेलवे का उपयोग सिर्फ राजनीतिक और निजी हितों के लिए किया जाता था और इसकी फंडिंग के मामले में अनदेखी की जाती थी, इसकी बात रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कही। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने रेलवे को भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था को मजबूत करने का अहम कड़ी माना है। यूपी में रेलवे को अब 2 लाख 40 हजार करोड़ रुपये की जगह 30,000-35,000 करोड़ रुपये मिल रहे हैं। यूपी के 156 रेलवे स्टेशनों को विश्वस्तरीय बनाने का निर्णय लिया गया है और इसके लिए 2023-24 में 17,507 करोड़ रुपये का बजट आवंटित किया गया है। मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के सहयोग से विकास आगे बढ़ रहा है। नई दिल्ली-मऊ-मुंबई स्पेशल ट्रेन को हरी झंडी देने के बाद यह ट्रेन मुंबई जाएगी और इससे इस क्षेत्र के लोगों को मुंबई जाने के लिए बेहतर ट्रेन सुविधा मिलेगी।
