Vande Bharat is one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious projects, and the government is now running Vande Bharat trains in almost every state. The central government aims to operate 75 or more Vande Bharat trains by 2024. Amidst this, there is viral news on social media about the Vande Bharat Express train that will run between Sitamarhi and New Delhi via Darbhanga-Samastipur-Muzaffarpur. Everyone wants to know the truth behind this viral news.

The claim is that the Vande Bharat Express train will soon start its journey from Sitamarhi to New Delhi, covering the route of Darbhanga-Samastipur-Muzaffarpur. It is also claimed that the train will reach New Delhi in just six hours, including the journey from Darbhanga-Samastipur-Muzaffarpur.

According to the viral news, the dream of people from North Bihar to travel by Vande Bharat is about to come true. The Vande Bharat train will run from Sitamarhi to Darbhanga-Muzaffarpur-Patliputra and reach New Delhi. Vinay Srivastava, DRM of Samastipur Rail Mandal, has sent a proposal to the railway for this. It is also claimed that the train will complete the journey from Sitamarhi to New Delhi in just six hours. The timing of the train is also viral on social media, stating that it will depart from Sitamarhi at 8 am.

When the Aaj Tak team started investigating this news, they were surprised to learn how the Vande Bharat train could reach New Delhi from Sitamarhi in just six hours. Aaj Tak contacted Vinay Srivastava, DRM of Samastipur Rail Mandal, who said, “We have no information about whether Vande Bharat will be operated from Samastipur Rail Mandal. I don’t think we can reach Delhi from Sitamarhi in six hours. It is not possible with the speed of our trains. Even if a bullet train is introduced, it will not cover the distance between Sitamarhi and New Delhi in six hours. Aaj Tak’s investigation has proved that the claim made in the viral news is completely false.

Vinay Srivastava said that a proposal has been sent to the ministry to operate the Vande Bharat train. Three routes have been selected for the Vande Bharat train, including Samastipur to Gorakhpur or Darbhanga to Gorakhpur, Darbhanga to Patna, and Jaynagar to Raxaul, reaching Varanasi. He further mentioned that feasibility tests will be conducted first, and then the allocation will be made based on the production of Vande Bharat trains.

When the Aaj Tak team asked Vinay Srivastava about the news of the Vande Bharat trial on social media, he dismissed it as baseless. He said, “We have received a push-pull rack, but we don’t know when it will be used and which route it will take.” Aaj Tak’s investigation found that no proposal has been sent to operate the Vande Bharat train from Sitamarhi to New Delhi. There has been no trial of Vande Bharat, and there are no plans for it in the near future. The news on social media has been proven completely false.
