Vande Bharat train to be introduced in Jammu and Kashmir: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gifted one of the most beautiful and modern trains, Vande Bharat, to Jammu and Kashmir. The Modi government has decided to operate the Vande Bharat Express train between Udhampur and Srinagar. This semi-high-speed train will soon run through the valleys of Kashmir, becoming the country’s 49th Vande Bharat train, operating between Udhampur, Srinagar, and Baramulla railway lines.
Successful trial of Vande Bharat: Jitendra Singh, the Member of Parliament from Udhampur, and a Union Minister, said that the Modi government has given a special gift to Jammu and Kashmir. He mentioned that the Vande Bharat train is ready to operate on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project. The construction of the rail link between Jammu and Baramulla is also underway, where the Vande Bharat train will run. This train will connect Baramulla with other parts of the country.
Appreciation for the launch of the semi-high-speed train: Jitendra Singh also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Railway Minister for the initiation of the semi-high-speed train. He stated that in the coming times, this train will prove to be a game-changer for the entire region. It is worth noting that the Northern Railways successfully completed the trial run of the US-based URBAL trial last week. The Vande Bharat train will also run on this track. The train will have eight compartments, and it is expected to reach a speed of up to 160 km/h, providing all the necessary facilities for passengers. Currently, Vande Bharat trains are operating on seven routes in the country.
