Neuland Share Price Soars Amidst Market Volatility

On Friday, amidst a strong sell-off in the stock market, investors showed strong interest in the pharmaceutical giant Neuland Laboratories. The stock crossed the ₹11,000 mark on the last trading day of the week, rising by nearly 20% from its previous closing price of ₹9,373.10 to reach a high of ₹11,239.80. This is also the 52-week high for the stock, with an approximate increase of ₹1,800 compared to the previous day.

Over the past two days, the share price of the small-cap pharmaceutical company has surged by 27%. In the last two months alone, the stock has seen an 83% increase, and over a two-year period, it is up by a staggering 725%. On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the share was trading at ₹10,906 with a 0.50% decrease, and on the same day, it closed at ₹10,715 with a 2.24% decrease.

Analysis of shareholder patterns reveals that prominent investor Mukul Mahavir Agrawal also holds a significant stake in Neuland Labs. At the end of the June quarter, the company held a 3.12% stake, equivalent to 400,000 shares. The promoter holding stands at 32.72%, while public stake is at 67.28%.

Neuland Labs is a pharmaceutical manufacturer that provides customers with active pharmaceutical ingredients and custom manufacturing solutions. The company reported revenue of ₹444.4 crore in the June quarter, with post-tax profit increasing by 58% annually to ₹98.3 crore.

Management has indicated that the company is poised for revenue growth in the financial year 2025, after which margin normalization will occur as the company continues its investment strategy. Neuland Labs operates in over 80 countries globally, with more than 78% of its total revenue coming from exports. The United States and Europe are its largest export markets, accounting for over 79% of total exports.

With a strong performance in the market and promising growth prospects, Neuland Labs continues to be a key player in the pharmaceutical industry.
