A tragic road accident occurred in the Darihat police station area of Rohtas district on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. An uncontrolled Thar jeep hit a bike carrying three youths near the Bhadkudia village gate on the main road. The collision was so intense that the vehicle reportedly dragged the bike for nearly 50 meters before coming to a halt.

Details of the Victims and Incident
The three youths involved in the accident were residents of Bharkuria village and were heading towards Dehri when the crash took place. Two of them lost their lives in this unfortunate event. The details of the victims are as follows:
- Vikas Kumar Singh: He died on the spot due to the severe impact.
- Rustam Ansari: He passed away during treatment at Sasaram Sadar Hospital.
- Naga Paswan: He sustained serious injuries and is currently under medical supervision at the hospital.
Police Investigation and Current Status
The occupants of the Thar jeep managed to flee the spot immediately after the crash. Darihat police reached the location shortly after receiving the news and seized the Thar vehicle involved in the accident. Station House Officer Ravi Ranjan Priyadarshi confirmed that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination at Sasaram Sadar Hospital. The police have registered a case and are currently searching for the absconding driver and other occupants of the jeep.
