What are the key features of this new project?

The redevelopment initiative is a massive undertaking valued at approximately ₹244 Crore. The old structures are being replaced by a modern 11-storey multi-storey building designed to provide high-quality accommodation for state officials. This upgrade is part of the government’s plan to modernize infrastructure in the capital city.

Officials briefed the Chief Minister about the various amenities being integrated into the campus. The new complex will feature a modern clubhouse and a well-designed park for residents. To address parking needs, the plan includes both open parking areas and solar parking sheds, combining utility with eco-friendly solutions.

Instructions given by CM Nitish Kumar during the visit

During the inspection, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave strict instructions to the officials to expedite the construction work. He emphasized that the project must be completed within the stipulated timeline without compromising on quality. Given the location is right across from the high-profile Bihar Museum, the CM insisted that the construction quality and aesthetics must be top-tier.

This project is also seen as an effort to enhance the beauty of the Bailey Road area. The government wants to ensure that the residential complex complements the nearby tourism hub, which includes the Bihar Museum and the upcoming tunnel project connecting it to the Patna Museum.
