Commuters in Danapur, Patna faced a very difficult time on Thursday due to a massive traffic jam. The situation was so severe that a distance which usually takes only 5 minutes to cover took people between 1 to 1.5 hours. This heavy congestion brought the daily life of the common man to a standstill in the area.

According to local reports, the main reason for this traffic block was the increasing encroachment on the roads. Apart from this, auto-rickshaws and tractors were driving in a disorderly manner, which reduced the space for other vehicles. Local residents have also raised questions about the police, accusing them of negligence in managing the traffic flow effectively.
How was the public affected by the jam?
The jam was most severe between the Bus Stand and Takiyapar. The seriousness of the situation was visible when an ambulance carrying a patient got stuck in the traffic for about half an hour. This delay caused distress to the patient’s family. Regular commuters and local people struggled for hours to cross a very short distance due to these road blockages.
