The Patna Metro is moving fast towards launching its services on the Malahi Pakadi section. A crucial technical inspection of the overhead equipment and power systems was successfully finished on February 14. With the electrical safety checks done, the authorities are now preparing for the final audit to begin operations for the public next month.
When will the trains start running?
The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) team will visit from Delhi between February 25 and February 28 to conduct the final safety audit. They will check the tracks, signaling, and platform safety. If everything goes as planned and the clearance is given, passenger services are expected to start in the first week of March. The metro will run from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily.
Ticket Prices and Route Details
Once this new section opens, the Patna Metro will operate across five stations: New ISBT, Zero Mile, Bhootnath Road, Khemnichak, and Malahi Pakadi. The authorities have also released the fare details for this route.
- Minimum Fare: ₹15 (for short distances up to 3 km)

The trains are fully air-conditioned with mobile charging ports and CCTV cameras to ensure a safe and comfortable ride for everyone.
