A shocking incident was reported at Raxaul Railway Station in Bihar after maintenance staff discovered a dead body inside the Satyagraha Express. The train, which runs between Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi and Raxaul, had reached the washing pit for routine cleaning late Thursday night. Officials found the body of an unidentified male hanging from an iron chain in sleeper coach S-5, causing panic among the railway staff and security personnel.
How was the body discovered?
The discovery was made around 11:00 PM on Thursday, several hours after the train arrived at the station at 5:00 PM. Railway workers from the electrical and carriage departments entered the coach at the washing pit and noticed the body at berth number 57. According to initial reports, the man is estimated to be between 25 and 35 years old. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and GRP were immediately informed, and senior officials including Railway DSP Rajesh Kumar reached the site to inspect the situation.

While the body was found hanging, investigators have noted suspicious details that point towards foul play. Police found blood on the floor beneath the body and a sharp cut on the deceased’s right hand. SHO Pawan Kumar stated that they are looking into all angles, including murder or a struggle during a robbery. A forensic team has collected evidence from the coach, and the body has been sent to Motihari Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
