Bihar Government transfers police officers on a large scale

The Bihar Government has made significant changes in the police department by transferring two IPS and 33 DSPs to new postings. The transfers were announced on Wednesday.

ASP Kamya Mishra transferred to Crime Investigation Department

ASP Kamya Mishra, who was previously stationed in Patna, has been transferred to the Assistant Superintendent of Police position in the Crime Investigation Department in Patna. Sweety Sehrawat, who served as ASP in Aurangabad, has been appointed as the new ASP in Patna.

Transfers in Nalanda district

Two prominent DSPs in Nalanda, Dr. Shibli Nomani and Krishna Murari Prasad, have also been transferred. However, Dr. Shibli Nomani has not been given a new posting yet. Nurul Haq has been appointed as the new Biharsharif Sadar DSP, taking over Dr. Shibli Nomani’s position.

New postings and transfers

Sumit Kumar, a 2013 batch Bihar Police Service officer, has been appointed as the new Hilsa DSP, replacing Krishna Murari Prasad. Prior to this, Sumit Kumar served as the Sadar DSP in Khagaria. These transfers are considered routine in the police department.
